About the author

More Than a Journal. A Part of My Story.

Sometimes the most meaningful things we create come from the lives we've lived.

I'm TeNesha McGraw.

I've lived enough life to know that every chapter doesn't come with a happy ending, every season isn't easy, and sometimes the plans we make look nothing like the life we end up living.

I've experienced seasons of great loss, raised four children, built a career, celebrated accomplishments, experienced disappointment, and faced moments that required me to be strong even when I didn't feel particularly strong. I've known the joy of watching my children grow, the blessing of becoming a grandmother, and the quiet reality of realizing that while I was busy being everything to everyone else, I was still figuring out who I was becoming.

There have been beautiful chapters, difficult chapters, and a few I probably wouldn't have chosen for myself. But every one of them is part of my story.

Through it all, I've learned that life doesn't stop asking things of us simply because we're tired, grieving, overwhelmed, or trying to find our footing. We still show up. We still take care of our families. We still meet our responsibilities. And somewhere in the middle of all that living, our own thoughts, feelings, dreams, and unanswered questions can get pushed aside.

That's part of what inspired Room for Us Journals.

I wanted to create something that speaks to real life. Not just the accomplishments and beautiful moments we celebrate publicly, but also the grief we carry privately, the words we never said, the dreams we've put on hold, and the parts of ourselves we're still discovering.

These journals aren't about having a perfect life or finding the perfect words. They're about giving yourself permission to acknowledge where you've been, appreciate where you are, and make room for whatever comes next.

At this stage of my life, I understand that I am more than the titles I hold, the responsibilities I carry, and the people who depend on me. I am a woman with my own story, and that story is still unfolding.

And I believe the same is true for you.

I created Room for Us Journals because I know what it means to have a lot to say and not always have a place to say it.

Whatever your story, whatever your season, and whatever you're carrying, there is room for you here.

With love and intention,

TeNesha McGraw
